In Special Needs Assistance you will find information on how seniors with low income can get financial assistance to help afford the cost of appliances and specific health and personal supports. Check out the link for more details.
Dental and Optical Assistance are also available for eligible seniors.
Eligible senior homeowners can defer all or part of their municipal property taxes with a low-interest home equity loan. More detail can be found online.
Staying in your home as long as possible is ideal but sometimes adaptations need to be made to remain safe. The Seniors Home Adaptation and Home Repair Program may be able to help. It offers low interest home equity loans. Check out the link for details.
The Residential Access Modification Program provides low income Albertans with mobility challenges the ability to apply for grants to modify their home. Check out the link for details on eligibility and how to apply.
