DRIVE
HAPPINESS
Drive Happiness is a non-profit Organization providing assisted transportation services to seniors (55+) and other vulnerable individuals needing transportation. Drivers are local volunteers willing to give their time and energy to drive those in need to various locations, such as medical appointments, grocery shopping trips, or social outings.
Access to essential services for those living in rural communities is limited. Drive Happiness' ride program aims to ease this challenge by linking clients with local volunteers. This allows seniors and other vulnerable individuals increased independence, including better access to healthcare, improved food security, and decreased social isolation.
BECOME A DRIVER
Drive Happiness is looking for generous, compassionate individuals to volunteer their time driving older adults around. You choose when, where, and how often you drive. You create your own volunteer schedule. Drive Happiness provides gas reimbursement.
Volunteers must complete an application form and obtain a vulnerable sector check and a three- year driving abstract, in addition to providing copies of their class 5 driver's license, proof of registration, and proof of insurance.
Please contact FCSS @ 780-656-3674 for an application form.
